We aim to reply within two business days. Telling us your device, your iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened will usually get you a real answer on the first reply.
Common questions
How do I restore a subscription on a new device?
Sign in to the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, open Via, go to Profile, and choose Restore Purchases. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple Account, not to your Via account.
How do I cancel Via Pro?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled through Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Via, and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling during a free trial ends the trial and you are not charged.
We cannot cancel or refund an Apple subscription on your behalf. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account?
In Via, go to Profile, scroll to the bottom, and choose Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, your saved conversations, your community profile, and your Via history. It cannot be undone, and signing back in will not restore any of it.
Deleting your Via account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it through Apple first, using the steps above.
Can I change the Bible translation?
Yes. Profile → Bible Translation lets you choose between the Douay–Rheims, the Catholic Public Domain Version, and the World English Bible, Catholic Edition. You can also swipe between all three on any passage without changing your default.
My readings don't match the ones at my parish.
Set your region under Profile → Region. The liturgical calendar differs by country and by diocese, particularly for feasts that are holy days of obligation in one place and not in another. If your region is set correctly and a reading is still wrong, please write to us with the date and what your parish used — those reports are how the calendar gets fixed.
Is Via a substitute for a priest?
No. Via helps you read Scripture and understand Catholic teaching. It is not spiritual direction, not confession, not counselling, and not a substitute for your pastor. For anything weighing seriously on you, please talk to a priest.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number, or in the United States call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Reporting something in a community
Communities in Via are private and invite-only. If someone in a community posts something abusive or inappropriate, use the report control on the post, or write to support@viacatholic.app and tell us the community and roughly when it was posted.
